Tony Baldry has received a letter from Pensions Minister, Steve Webb, MP confirming that any changes to the state pension system will affect future pensioners only – that is, people who reach state pension age on or after the date the changes are introduced. The entitlement to existing pensioners and those who reach state pension age before any changes are introduced will not be affected.
