Tony Baldry opens new wing in The Ridings Care Home

30 July 2010

On Friday 30th July, Tony Baldry opened a new wing at The Ridings Nursing Home in Banbury, which has spent more than £400,000 on the refurbishment of seven rooms which will enable new residents to move in.

“It is good news that we are all living longer”, said Tony Baldry, ”but that also means that there are more people living with age-related dementia and for various reasons, the Cherwell area of Oxfordshire is likely to see a larger increase in age-related dementia in the coming years, so it is very good that homes such as The Ridings, are investing in further provision to give care to those who need it and I think The Ridings, as with other nursing homes locally, tries very hard to make sure that residents can enjoy the maximum choice of pastimes and hobbies to keep them active, from cooking to gardening”.
